What is the problem? Currently and for some time, the majority of conduit has been bent in the field by trade professionals using a manual Conduit Bender (most commonly used by electricians). This method is incredibly labor intensive, requiring non-ergonomic repetitive motion to complete required bends. The process is time consuming; requiring bends to be made on flat surfaces and usually not near the conduit installation point. Inaccuracies using a manual bender cause material waste and the need for rework, thus driving increases in material and labor costs.
Brochman Innovations has designed a portfolio of portable Conduit Benders that provide a hand-held, battery operated tool that can make a multitude of bends with complete accuracy. The advantages start with a reduction of time, touch and travel for any trade bending conduit or tubing. With this advantage, there will be a corresponding reduction in labor cost, material cost and reduction in waste. Overall, these tools are ergonomically friendly and allow bending to take place in environments where manual benders cannot be used (on a lift, on a ladder, one handed, unstable surface areas and more).
